The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) together with the Centre for Geo-Information at Wageningen University (NL) is offering twoPhD positions to perform four-year research as part of the coordinated global comparative study on REDD, a research project studying REDD preparation, demonstration activities and national initiatives in selected countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America. The project consists of four components: (1) national REDD initiatives (policy processes and strategies), (2) demonstration activities, (3) monitoring and reference levels, and (4) knowledge sharing. The candidates would be expected to mainly work as part of component 3.
