Position Title: Web Designer

JOB SUMMARY

The Web Designer is responsible for design of major and minor Web applications and components for internal and external Insurance system users. The designer will design, develop, test and deliver web sites, applications and components. Enhancements and defect resolution will be required on an ongoing basis.

Best practices and design methods will be utilized to insure the success of the projects..

They will be required to have experience in graphics, layout, scripting, as well as development involving compatibility and seamless integration with various technologies such as.

Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this individual.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fully responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of the company’s website.
• Creating or editing images and graphics for website use.
• Writing web pages in a combination of codes such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Creating functional Websites that responsive in all major browsers and devices (desktop, notebook, mobile, PC tablets/iPads, etc)
• You communicate closely with colleagues who provide input and guidance.
• Upload the websites on to the Internet using FTP
• Testing websites for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions / devices.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
• Skills and experience in graphic design and other techniques in developing web applications from scratch
• Strong analytical and creative skills: able to come up with fresh and original concepts
• Quality minded with high standards and attention to details
• Feel for modern, original, and professional designs in terms of look-and-feel and usability
• Good time management: able to deliver on time
• Good command of English, spoken and written
• Excellent knowledge and experience with HTML5 / CSS 3 / Java Script
• Excellent knowledge and experience with Adobe CS 4 or CS 5 (Fireworks is a plus)
• Excellent knowledge and experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
• Excellent knowledge and experience with CMS
• Excellent knowledge and experience with responsive web design is a plus
• Skills and experience making websites with Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Skills and experience converting mock-up pages to HTML format
• A good portfolio of previous work is required
